Tom Bailey - Masonic Hospital Visitor at the Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington, Vermont.

For 36 years, Tom Bailey has been a fixture on the units, making his rounds with a cart filled to-the brim with newspapers, magazines and books. To watch him go about his work so cheerfully and with such generosity of spirit, you wouldn't know that he suffered a stroke as a young man and has overcome immense physical challenges. Says Margaret Laughlin, director of Volunteer Services, "Tom has worked more hours than any volunteer we have ever had, and he has brought more cheer and created a greater patient experience for so many. day-in and day- out."
