Keyler is presenting these Officers of The Young Masons Lodge the Charter. The Young Masons Lodge is open to all Master Masons, but to hold office, one has to be 45 years or younger.

Welcome and Information Center Dedication

On May 30, 2009 The Grand Lodge Officers gathered at the Vermont Veterans National Cemetery to officially dedicate the Welcome and Information Center donated by Vermont Freemasons. The event was part of the Annual Massing of the Colors Memorial Day Observance at the Cemetery. Almost 30 Grand Lodge Officers and a color guard unit from the National Sojourners were on hand. Many masons were in the audience of approximately three hundred. Governor and Brother James H. Douglas was the guest speaker and participated in the dedication. Most Worshipful Grand Master Cal Keyler presented the Proclamation and led the ceremonial team which was composed of Brothers Thomas Johnston, Deputy Grand Master, Philip Morton, Grand Senior Warden, Roger Crouse, Grand Junior Warden, Harold Newell, Assistant Grand Chaplain, Bernard (Skins) Watkins, Assistant Grand Chaplain and Thomas MacPhee, Grand Marshal.

A beautiful granite plaque, donated by Brother Barry Douquette of Spruce Mountain Granite in Barre was presented for the building.
Your Grand Master, Brother Cal sincerely thanks every mason who donated to this project and made this historic event possible.

April Events

Brother Ted Corsones, Past Grand Master of Vermont,
and member of Rutland Lodge No. 79, is presented a
Plaque from Brother Thomas Johnston, Secretary of
Rutland Lodge No. 79 and Deputy Grand Master of Grand Lodge of Vermont, in recognition of his many years of dedicated service to the Masonic Family.

Brother Calvin K. Keyler, Grand Master presents Brother Ted Corsones, Past Grand Master, a "Certificate of Meritorious Service" at the Rutland Lodge No. 79 Table Lodge on
Saturday, April 25, 2009 held to honor Brother Ted Corsones for his dedication and work in Freemasonry.

The march was 4.5 miles, beginning in Wells River, going to Woodsville, NH and returning to Wells River. There were over 200 people who participated and Pulaski Lodge No. 58 raised about $200.00 for
the March of Dimes.

 

The Spring Meeting of the Past Masters Association of District No. 9 met at Charity Lodge No. 43, Bradford, VT on Friday, April 17, 2009.

The fall meeting of this association and Ladies Night will be held at Brookfield, Vermont on Friday, October 16, 2009.

The Cribbage Tournament was held at the Masonic Lodge Building in Barre, Vermont. The money raised from this Cribbage Tournament goes to the Grand Lodge Scholarship Awards.

Horatio Jenkins was born July 18, 1906 and raised a Master Mason on March 26, 1959 in Ethan Allen Lodge No. 72, Essex Jct. Vermont now meeting in Williston, VT. These awards were presented on April 1, 2009.
